The Mechanism

The Mechanism

The nylon string is cut 15mm longer than the length of the body and is fed into the top of the first ear and glued into the predrilled holes and fixed with a match. The string is then put through the hole in the metal and then into the other ear.

The ears and the metal hook and located between the wooden pieces already glued in on one side of the face. The holes in the ears are put over the dowel rod, this will act as a pivot to allow the eare to move. Note the position of the string and the way it is glued into the ears.

When the hook is pulled the ears will pivot on the dowel rod and then move up.
